Rustic Lodge Style Comforter Quilts and Bedspread Duvets  for Your Country Cabin

Cabin lodge style quilts or duvets at one time were all the rage when people actually had the time to take a vacation to their little hideaway each summer. With life as busy as it is these days, the best way to enjoy that 'get-away feeling' is decorating your personal space with these beautiful and colorful quilts. Each one, though different, brings a warm, vintage old-timey feel to your bedroom.

What are These Bedspreads Made of?

Most of these lodge bed covers are of a cotton polyester blend, making them easy wash and wear, and a snap to dry. Each one has it's own unique color pattern and design, many with vibrant colors (like #13 and #17…my favorites) that will allow you to simply add it to a bedroom theme you may already have, or will give you an idea in creating a theme around the duvet itself. A few are dry clean only, their make up  being a microfiber base on some of them. Filled with a lightweight blend of polyester fiberfill, these are light but warm! Prices range from $39 on up to the much higher quality spread and most offer free shipping giving you some great choices to work with. And, if you want more bang for your buck, you'll note that many of these come with pillow shams and sometimes an accent pillow for good measure.

Duvet Quilt Bedspread Sizes

Each bedspread comes in different sizes. Some offer all four sizes, starting from Twin going to King or the supersized California King. A few others only give a couple of sizes, usually the largest ones being Queen and King.  Quite often this is simply because most beds are in the larger sizes and quilts for children are usually in the fun-theme patterns instead.If you are like me though, you have a few changes for the seasons. Sometimes it just fun to mix things up!

Long Term Care of Your Quilt Duvet

Though most articles of bedding and clothing can be washed in warm water, and though cotton and cotton blends can handle hot water, for the best long term care it's best to wash in cold water with a color safe detergent on a gentle cycle. Personally, I don't even use a dryer. In case I have missed a stain, I don't want the dryer heat to set the stain permanently, but instead I air dry. Later I inspect for stains and then treat before rewashing.
