UPDATE 10-17-2019 I reached out to my contacts today and was told that the lapidary industry is dying. Each one of them informed me that their entire stock was bought out (as was most of mine) and there is  very little, if any, of these buckles left. I was also informed today by one of my contacts that there is a metal worker in Florida. However, no one seems to be willing to spend the money to make these very specific molds and buy a required 500 to 1000 pieces (per mold) if lapidary is no longer of interest. Molds can cost upwards of $2000 per. This would leave many buyers stuck with tens of thousands of dollars if not even higher costs. So, combined with the lack of lapidary interest, prohbitive costs, cheap goods from China ( I was also told that many buckles bought overseas were faulty and defective, often cracking in half) and few people with the knowledge of metal work or the desire to learn it, the pieces you find online might the only ones left. It saddens us to inform our buyers and visitors  of this but there seems to be no solution even though I've tried for months to find one. Due to googles indexing, this page will remain up for informational purposes only.

Note; The most recent update on my buckles is from my vendor. He informed me that many of the vendors received the same letter he did; that the buckle manufacturer they received supplies from was going out of business and would no longer be able to offer belt buckle blanks. He said he, and others, have tried to contact them to at least see if someone else would be able to take over the manufacturing part of the business and at least keep up on the sales of these buckles, but to date, he has said he personally has received no reply. For now, I've kept the photos up of the buckles that are sold out in the hopes that I might be able to find exact replacements. I will continue to look for replacement buckles or, if I can't find them, to at least locate new buckle blanks.

      Ryan,

Is there anyway you can get me measurements? How wide are these Morgan dollars? If you can get me a bit of info, I'll look into seeing what I have or what I might be able to get for you.

UPDATE: Ryan, I’ve replied to you by email and yes, the buckles with the larger rings will accommodate a larger silver dollar, like the Morgan silver dollar, which I believe is 1.5 inches.

      Hi Mark,

I replied to you by email awhile back and was wondering if you had found what you were looking for? We don’t carry anything that size, and i’m not sure many people do. it’s quite large and while it’s possible to have a custom buckle made, the cost is alsmot prohibitively expensive. The cost comes from making a mold for an original buckle as the molds are usually used to produce many more, not just the one.

      Best,

      MJ

      Hello Christi,

I replied by email, but thought I would reply here as well just to be safe.
Unfortunately, the largest ring on the buckle will only accomodate a 1.5 inch coin.
Buckle blanks are getting pretty hard to find and nono of what I have will be large enough 🙁
