What Makes Our Sunbonnets Different

7-sm2When we decided to put our sunbonnets up online four years ago, my mom said I would never sell them. It’s a story I tell my customers to this day as we sell more and more and see our growth double and triple each year.  And it still tickles me to this day!

It’s such a niche market, to be honest. When you do a keyword search, hardly anyone is searching for western bonnets, prairie bonnets, pioneer bonnets, sunbonnet sue or anything else like that in high numbers. So where do our sales come from? And what makes our sunbonnets different?

We’ve been told by customers that when they try to order in their area, regardless of where they are at, (Denver, CO to Columbia, SC) they can’t find these bonnets in their home town. Maybe they are too old fashioned to be made these days? However, living history, museums and the like are still alive and well, such as Little House on the Prairie. Many school programs and Broadway plays still perform these things recquiring the attire of the period.

Often, our customers have told us that they’ve surfed the net and keep coming back to our site because our bonnets, by quality, were far superior to the many others that were out there. We even quilt our brims compared to the many other companies that do not.

In the words of one customer that hopped back and forth between our bonnet pages…..”You have so many bonnets….What to choose, what to choose, what to choose….it was just so hard to choose!”
